Who is John Boel?

John Boel is considered a trailblazer in acupuncture due to his inventive methods and revolutionary findings. His contemporary techniques have transformed the field, earning him the title of "Acupuncturist of the Century" from the Open International University for Complementary Medicines in Sri Lanka.

Boel is well known for developing AcuNova, the first of Boel Modern Acupuncture's (BMA) 11 methods. Contrary to traditional Chinese acupuncture, BMA addresses the neurological system by sending signals to the brain. It is based on modern research. Boel's techniques, such as AcuLine, AcuChronic, and AcuDNA, provide efficient treatments for various ailments, from organic disorders to pain management. Acu-Vision therapy using AcuNova can offer at least some alleviation for several eye disorders.

With over thirty years of expertise, professional acupuncturist Dr. Vadim Dekhtyar, DACM, was fortunate to receive direct training from Dr. Boel. At Life Balance Clinic, Dr. Dekhtyar—one of the earliest and most skilled physicians in Illinois to provide AcuVision therapy combines Boel's techniques with his knowledge of Chinese medicine.

Boel's studies on eye acupuncture have attracted interest worldwide, especially because of its effectiveness in treating Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and age-related macular degeneration (ARMD). His groundbreaking research has been highlighted in many international journals and media venues, giving hope to millions of people with terminal eye illnesses
